Fat Quarter Quilt/Throw

So much for taking a nice picture of this little quilt. Every time I tried to smooth it out to make it look nice, this little ball of fluff pounced on it like a cat. When I yelled at him it only got worse. He apparently thought this was a game. This was a very quick project, and when I say quick, I mean like not more than two hours from start to finish and that included washing and drying the fat quarters. This is an easy throw that anyone and I mean that, anyone can make. I didn’t even have to cut fabric. I used 6 fat quarters for each side and used a nice piece of flannel for the “batting” layer. (remember when I said I didn’t have to cut anything? Well, I sort of misspoke…but, it was only one layer and it took no more than 5 minutes tops. PS: This quilt is part of the coordinating fat quarters I used for the microwaveable heat packs. (this goes in the gift basket too) sshhhh, don’t tell.

If you are interested in getting started with sewing, I happen to use the Singer Quantum 9960 that I purchased on Amazon.
